David Hyerle was born in the United States on November 25 1955. He is the inventor and author of an innovative learning approach known as Thinking Maps. These maps originated when Hyerle created an academic research group, who visited many schools, and found a lack of student comprehension when it came to recalling or oraganising ideas.Through this he developed a universal way for students and teachers alike to process information. These became known as Thinking Maps.
